Layering Texture

Whether in the dappled light cast from the unique surface of a light, or as a subtle point of interest layered in to a room, the presence of texture is always keenly felt on our surroundings. By incorporating a variety of surfaces and patinas into the spaces we live in, through conscious decisions and simple gestures, texture can be brought to the foreground, bringing us closer to the materials and objects that we live with.

The worn patina and grooves of vintage furniture reflect use over time, while recalling the considered movements of their maker - the perfect compliment to hand thrown ceramics and hammered pieces which have their own distinct form and surface texture.
