There's a good chance that those of you with a keen interest in ceramics will have heard of artist and writer Edmund de Waal who is known for his large scale installations that push the boundaries of the medium.
His compositions, which he likens to musical scores appear simple but are filled with subtlety and complexity and we really admire their distinct rhythmic quality. His latest book The White Road looks at the history behind porcelain, a material spanning hundreds of years that forms the basis of his work. We can't wait to give it a read.
